Emperor Penguin

Aptenodytes forsteri

The emperor penguin is the tallest and heaviest of all penguin species, and one of the most remarkable survivors on Earth. These birds endure the brutal Antarctic winter to breed, with males incubating eggs on their feet for over two months while females journey to the sea to feed. Their famous huddling behavior allows them to survive temperatures as low as -60°C.
