One Full Hour with Mountain Gorillas
Your permit allows sixty minutes inside a habituated gorilla family's range in Volcanoes National Park. Guide Théoneste Nkurunziza positions the group for light, not just proximity, so you leave with frames, not just memories.
Golden Monkeys at First Light
Cercopithecus kandti — the golden monkey — moves through bamboo stands on the volcano slopes in the hour after dawn when the bamboo glows and the monkeys are still feeding low. It is one of the most painterly wildlife encounters in East Africa.
Nyungwe Canopy Walkway
Fifty metres above the forest floor, the suspension bridge sways gently over an unbroken green sea. Angola colobus troops move through the canopy below you — sometimes level with you — while great blue turacos call across the valley.
Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe
Nyungwe holds one of Rwanda's most stable wild chimpanzee communities. Trackers radio positions from first light; you follow calls through old-growth forest until you find them feeding, grooming, or tumbling through branches twenty metres overhead.
Akagera's Open Savanna Light

Day 1
Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Kigali.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing after your journey and adjusting to the beautiful surroundings of Rwanda’s capital. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Kigali City, visit local markets, or tour the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and remarkable journey of recovery and reconciliation.

Day 2
Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park – Canopy Walk & Bird Photography
After breakfast, begin your journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Africa’s oldest rainforests and a paradise for photographers. The scenic drive takes you through Rwanda’s famous rolling hills, tea plantations, and beautiful countryside.
In the afternoon, experience the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walk, a suspended bridge high above the forest floor offering breathtaking views of the rainforest. This unique viewpoint provides excellent opportunities to photograph forest landscapes, colorful birds, butterflies, and the rich biodiversity of the canopy.

Day 3
Chimpanzee Photography Experience in Nyungwe Forest
Today, enter the depths of Nyungwe Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced trackers and guides, follow forest trails in search of chimpanzee communities. Spend time observing and photographing these intelligent primates as they interact, feed, and move through the forest. Capture their unique behaviors, expressions, and social interactions against the breathtaking backdrop of Rwanda’s ancient rainforest.

Colobus Monkey Trekking & Waterfall Photography in Nyungwe Forest
Start the day with an exciting trek in search of the beautiful Angola colobus monkeys, famous for their striking black-and-white coats and energetic movements through the forest canopy.
