What you'll experience
Tigerfish Below the Falls
The stretch of Victoria Nile immediately downstream of Murchison Falls is one of East Africa's most productive tigerfish runs. You fish from flat-bottomed boats as hippos surface thirty metres away and African fish eagles circle overhead.
Nile Perch on Lake Albert
Lake Albert's deep blue water holds Nile perch that dwarf anything caught in Lake Victoria's shallower bays. Early-morning trolling sessions often produce multiple fish over 40 kg, and the sunsets over the Congolese escarpment are worth the hour's drive alone.
Night Fishing the Kazinga Channel
After dark, the Kazinga Channel connecting Lakes George and Edward comes alive. African catfish and Nile perch move into the shallows, and your guide Enock positions the boat by the calls of water thick-knees and the splash of hippopotami breathing close by.
Game Viewing Between Casts
Fishing in Uganda means buffalo wading into the river to drink, elephants crossing at the shallows, and a patas monkey watching you from a riverside fig tree. Every rod-down moment is a game-drive waiting to happen.
Birding the Riverbanks
The same riparian corridors that hold the fish hold over 450 species. A grey crowned crane stalks the reed edges while a malachite kingfisher — barely larger than your thumb — hovers over the same water you're retrieving through. Dedicated birding walks can be arranged each morning.

Samuel Opio and his team fish Murchison, Lake Albert, and the Kazinga channel year-round. They know which pool the big perch hold in after rain, and they won't waste your time on water that isn't fishing.
Catch-and-Release as Standard
All trophy fish are measured, photographed, and returned. The exception is a single table fish per day if guests request it — prepared the same evening by your camp cook.
Small Group, Full Flexibility
A maximum of six guests means two boats, two rods per boat, and the freedom to extend a session or change location without a committee decision. The itinerary moves at the speed of good fishing.

Day 1
Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the exciting fishing adventure ahead.

Day 2
Lake Victoria – Pursuing the Legendary Nile Perch
After breakfast, set out for a full-day fishing expedition on Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. Accompanied by experienced local fishermen, you will target the famous Nile Perch, renowned for its impressive size and strength.
Enjoy the thrill of the catch while surrounded by the lake’s stunning scenery. Capture memorable photographs and celebrate your fishing achievements as you explore one of Africa’s most productive fishing destinations.

Day 3
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Fishing on the Nile River
After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting fishing excursion along the Nile River, where you can target species such as Nile tilapia, catfish, and Nile Perch. Keep an eye out for hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife along the riverbanks.

Day 4
Game Drive and Fishing in Murchison Falls National Park
Begin your day with an early morning game drive through the park’s savannah plains. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife species.
Later, return to the Nile River for another fishing session, combining your passion for angling with exceptional wildlife photography opportunities. Capture unforgettable moments where Uganda’s spectacular wildlife and fishing adventures come together.

Kibale Forest National Park – Fishing and Chimpanzee Trekking
After breakfast, travel to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its rich biodiversity and large population of chimpanzees. Spend the morning fishing on one of the nearby lakes or rivers while enjoying the tranquil natural surroundings. In the afternoon, join an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience and observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.
